The library has 6 computers with internet access, productivity software (Microsoft Office 10) and a number of statistical software packages. Users are not allowed to make permanent changes to the computer setup, such as default settings or adding new software. If there is software that you would like to add, talk to Connie about your software needs.
Computers may not be reserved for extended use. Please be respectful of other users and do not leave personal materials at the computer station for long periods of time.
The computers use a shared server drive for storage of documents in "My Documents". You may set up a folder with your own name to keep drafts of work or files for storage. This drive is accessible from any of the computers, but not from outside the library. This is a public drive, so do not store any sensitive data or institutionally restricted data on this drive. Files that contain sensitive data will be purge immediately. Do not rely on this drive for permanent backup of important files as they may be purged without prior notice.
It is strongly recommended that you use an external storage device, such as a USB flashdrive, for storing and moving your documents.
